Description :
Level 2 of Carleton University’s MacOdrum library is one of the main service points for students accessing the library, however, it was dated and was no longer meeting the current needs of the University. This project included a major overhaul of the space, and the space was reorganized to allow for new and existing services. These services include study areas, a reception counter, research and IT help desks, an office for accessing mental health services and an office suite for the library staff. This suite is complete with a variety of open and closed offices, meeting rooms, auxiliary spaces for library services, and a lunchroom. The end result was a fully accessible, bright, and modern space that meets the functional requirements of the Library and allows for growth and flexibility.
