Description :

Montpetit Hall is a 4-storey building that was constructed in 1972.  It houses the faculty of Human Kinetics and the campus sports facilities.  The purpose of the project was to address health, safety, accessibility and building integrity issues.

The project improved the general accessibility by modernizing the exterior features to the building’s main entrance to meeting current AODA and OBC accessibility requirements.  Consultation with the Office of Human Rights and users occurred to ensure the communities needs were being fully met.  In addition, to meeting accessibility needs, structural rehabilitation occurred including extensive concrete repairs. The Building envelope was remediated this included replacement of doors, curtain-wall, and roofing membranes.
