Description :

To meet the growing demand for child care Bryden Gibson Architects was retained as a prime consultant for a 160-meter addition to an existing child care and renovation to classrooms. Bryden Gibson Architects was responsible for all aspects of the project: schematic design, design development, oversight of the development of the construction drawing, review and quality control on the drawings, submitted applications for site plan approval, building permit and oversight construction from start to finish.

The child care remained operation while construction was taking place. Construction was carefully staged to ensure the continued operation of the facility and access to the play yards was safely maintained.              

The new addition was designed to seamless blend into the existing building, generous high efficiency windows were provided to maximize day lighting into the child care space.  The heating and air conditioning units were updated providing additional heating and cooling to the space.
